About GOOD NEWS EVEANGELICAL MINISTRIES
Founded by Pastor Solomon Brian Mwesige in 1987, Good News Ministries has indeed come a long way. The impacting ministry whose headquarters are in Bulenga, 8 miles along the Kampala – Mityana highway (in Uganda), has several branch churches in all regions of Uganda.
In 2002, he got married to Mrs. Doreen Mwesige and the Lord has blessed them with five sweet kids; Priscilla Mwesige, Divine Mwesige, Melissa Mwesige, Shana Mwesige and Shasha Mwesige.
The Lord has used Pastor Solomon to plant churches in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has also trained and raised leaders that the Lord is using to impact many lives across the globe.
He has ministered in many African countries, Europe and the United States of America.
The Call to Make a Difference
I will never forget that day in 1980s when I first sensed a call from God to minister to His people. I still remember it as though it happened yesterday.
Because of the training I had regarding ministry, I knew this was a journey that would take a life-time; a journey that would not necessarily be easy. I however, chose to surrender to His will and purpose.
Throughout the years, my ministry has gone through a lot. We have been tested and tried, proven and had some melting experiences but, by His help, came forth as gold. We have seen the help of God in many precedential ways.
I have also seen lives impacted in ways that would be hard for me to narrate to the fullest. The hungry are fed, the naked clothed, the thirsty given water, the sick treated and healed, by the Grace of God, the future generation given an education and the gospel preached to the poor (for the gospel is the ultimate answer to all life’s questions). [the list is endless]
This ministry is indeed making a difference in every way.
The Power of Partnership
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship (partnership) in the gospel from the first day until now
– PHILIPPIANS 1:3 – 5
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken. – ECCLESIASTES 4:9 – 12
