Established in 1987 by Pastor Solomon Brian Mwesige, Good News Ministries has seen remarkable growth. Headquartered in Bulenga—just 8 miles from Kampala on the Mityana highway—the ministry now maintains a significant presence with branch churches spanning every region of Uganda.
Pastor Solomon Mwesige
Pastor Solomon Brian Mwesige is a resilient spiritual leader from Kyarusozi, Uganda, and a member of the Toro tribe. Born into a devout Catholic family, his conversion to Christ in his youth led to his excommunication by his father. This period of rejection and persecution ultimately strengthened his faith and drew him into a deeper walk with God.

Our Mission & Impact
Good News Ministries operates on a holistic mission to uplift the body, mind, and spirit, addressing both immediate physical needs and long-term community transformation. Through a “boots-on-the-ground” approach, the ministry provides essential resources such as clean water through well-drilling, medical outreach, feeding programs, and shoe distributions. By focusing on these fundamental requirements, they serve the underprivileged and create a tangible foundation for sustainable change within the community.

They work tirelessly to combat ignorance by supporting educational initiatives and partnering with organizations that serve orphans and the poor. This mission culminates in a spiritual cycle of evangelism, discipleship, and training, which empowers individuals to go out and plant new churches, ensuring the ministry’s impact continues to expand.
